My significant other and I had an interesting conversation recently where we both agree that life is much too short to not live one that is fulfilling. I’ve been told that I’m “a handful” or that I’m “too much” sometimes. But what fulfills and sustains me just may not be what does the same for you and that’s okay. We are not setup to live our lives at the expense of others approval, but only for our own personal approval. Unfortunately, you just won’t be everyone’s cup of tea!
So what does it mean to live life unapologetically? It means living without fear or limitations. It means living your life on your own terms, not being afraid to be yourself, and not letting anyone else control your narrative.
In today’s society, there is so much pressure to conform to societal norms and expectations. We are constantly bombarded with messages telling us how we should look, behave, and think. It can be easy to get caught up in trying to meet these standards and forgetting what truly matters: being happy and living our best lives.
Living life unapologetically means rejecting the negative messages we receive and instead choosing to focus on positive self-love and acceptance. It means embracing our uniqueness and sharing our gifts with the world. When we live our lives unapologetically, we open ourselves up to limitless possibilities and joy.
Tips for Living Life Unapologetically

While this is an infamous quote from Shakespeare’s play Hamlet, the interesting thing is that Polonius, the character who says it, is one of the most unpleasant individuals in the play. His advice to his son, Laertes, is honestly pompous, hypocritical, and empty to say that least. But the words still stand true, despite the delivery. The most important thing is to be true to yourself. You are the only one who knows what makes you happy, so don’t let anyone else control your narrative. Follow your heart and do what feels right for you, even if it goes against the grain. Society’s expectations are not worth sacrificing your happiness. - Embrace your uniqueness.
